John B. Willis, Jr. serves as a Partner with The Goodwin Group in New York, NY and serves clients nationally. John has over 30 years of experience in the executive search and research industry. He is the former CEO & Founder of a leading research & search firm focused primarily on Financial Services, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Professional Services which was acquired by The Goodwin Group in 2017. John has served a diverse range of clients including F500, middle market (including privately held & family businesses), venture backed start-ups, and Big 4 firms and national consulting firms providing leading class research and sourcing techniques using advanced technologies. Early in John’s career he worked with several leading financial services companies and still maintains his Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
John enjoys spending time with his wife and two grown children, playing golf and beyond NYC he enjoys the low country of South Carolina where he has a home on Daufuskie Island, SC.
