Kurt Bonatz serves as a Senior Advisory Partner to The Goodwin Group in the Chicago (Midwest US) and Atlanta (Southeast US) markets. He is the former CEO & Founder of a leading Atlanta based staffing & consulting firm focused primarily on finance, accounting and technology professionals and senior management. His company served a diverse range of clients including F500, middle market (including privately held & family businesses), and venture backed start-ups. Kurt has over 30 years of experience with various sized companies and multiple industries.
Kurt eventually sold his business to GTCR, a leading private equity firm. After the sale, Kurt remained with the company and was instrumental in growing the business to over $130M in revenue and serving as an architect in building a national footprint. After successfully exiting the business, he went on to start, invest in, and sell numerous businesses in Technology, Manufacturing and Service sectors. In his investments and start-ups, Kurt has scaled several businesses by adding value to sales & marketing, finance & accounting, operations & technology, and executive talent acquisition functions.
Kurt currently serves as a board member to multiple private companies. He enjoys helping executives and entrepreneurs build their businesses into successful ventures. Kurt began his career as a CPA/CFE/CISA working for Arthur Andersen and Deloitte.
Kurt enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, all things Biohacking, and swimming. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Clemson University.
